Falmouth University wins regular accolades across the globe for its relevance to and support of international students. We provide everything you need to prepare for, acclimatise and embrace your time with us. We’ll help you with the application process. We’ll help you negotiate the obtaining a student visa, accommodation and manage tuition fees. We’ll meet you at Heathrow Airport, give you a week’s orientation and a series of introductory sessions to life and study at Falmouth, as well as the UK. We’ll even provide an English language course, evening classes on writing, working culture and presenting in the UK. And if that’s not enough, we’ll help you through one-to-one meetings with your tutor. Whatever it takes, we’ll always be there for you.

Falmouth University provides the best international student arrival and support services in the world, according to independent market-research comparing them with them with 193 higher educational institutions in 14 countries.
The latest International Student Barometer (ISB) survey results show Falmouth University is ranked number one in the world when compared with global competitors in a raft of categories:
- Falmouth University is rated highest in the world for the Good Place To Be category
- Falmouth University is ranked first in the world for Support
- Arrival services are rated the best globally
- Language support is considered the best in the world
- Host Friends are ranked best in the world

Compared to other higher education institutions in the UK the research results show Falmouth University rated the highest overall for Campus Environment and the Welcome offered.
The ISB is the world's largest on-going survey of international students' satisfaction with university life with over 160,000 students from 193 institutions in 14 countries participating. It is used as the official measure of international student opinion by the UK government and funding bodies. Results are compared against comparator groups, national and international benchmarks, which Falmouth scored very well in.

Support
Our International Office is here to provide international students with all the support you require, from help with the application process to study visas, tuition fees and finding accommodation. It also provides:
- A free airport meeting service from London Heathrow
- A week of orientation activities to help you acclimatise to your new surroundings
- Introductory sessions on banks and finance, visas and passports, equality and diversity, health and student services
- Information and support to students wishing to undertake an exchange through the Erasmus or Study Abroad programmes
ASK: Academic Skills offers:
- A three-week English language pre-sessional course
- Evening classes in academic writing, academic culture and presenting in English
- One-to-one appointments to cover any English language issues
Student housing
When you accept a place at Falmouth you will receive an information pack from the Accommodation Office full of information about our student residences and private sector rentals. The University guarantees a room on campus to all first-year international students if you submit your accommodation application form by the July deadline. We can also help you to arrange off-campus accommodation.
